Do you see what's going on? According to a 2025 report by the World Gold Council, Central banks have accumulated over 1,000t of gold in each of the last three years, up significantly from the 400-500t average over the preceding decade.1 This marked acceleration in the pace of accumulation has occurred against a backdrop of geopolitical and economic uncertainty, which has clouded the outlook for reserve managers and investors alike. And who are the main buyers? BRICS nations. And why? A race to replace the US Dollar as the world's reserve currency. Forget drones, missiles, and bombs. This level of warfare is the kind that can take a country down. So how is the 🇺🇸 going to counter? The US government and the banks (remember from previous Beskar posts that these are one and the same) are rolling out a new cryptocurrency in "digital tokens". These token coins were pioneered by the company Tether who thought it could leverage the benefits of the block chain with instant transactions....but with a currency pegged at a reserve ratio of 1:1. So they have digital tokens for currencies like the yen, yuan, and the dollar. Behind each of these, the company secures - in their reserves - a corresponding amount on a 1:1 ratio for a fully-backed currency. This is important. Because in the USA, we threw out the 100% reserve ratio long ago. In fact, today, banks on average only have a ~14% reserve ratio. This is a problem when fear and panic hit and there's a run on the banks. If everyone rushes to line up and pull their money out....the banks only have 14% of the deposits they have in the books to actually dispense!?!?!
