Blossom is one of the best places to get an insight into what the average investor might be doing or thinking. The problem with this is that there is constantly information about every company, dividend payment, or new idea being thrown around every day. This is your reminder that GOOD investing isn’t always exciting. Your investing journey shouldn’t have to constantly be shared online all the time every day, a good investor is able to sit back and relax knowing their thesis is intact. There’s been so many posts lately of every new fund coming out that you have to jump on the train for, and yet this is the sign of a BAD investor. I’ve discussed the problem with constantly adjusting your portfolio, and this means the opposite must be true. Sitting back with your plan in place is the best thing you can do for your financial journey. Too many blossom users try to sway you into every new business, fund or gamble that many of you succumb too easily. Some of the smartest investors I see are the ones who spend the least time worrying about their investments. Stop wasting so much time online and playing with your money, and instead use that time into things that actually matter. Life isn’t in your phone, so stop treating it like it is. As always do your research and happy investing! P.S Enjoy the summer time, it’s only nice outside for so long 😉

Thank you for your comments Ronan. I’ve just finished reading Millionaire Teacher -The nine Rules of Wealth you should have learned in School. After trading stocks for most of my life I’m now learning about ETFs. This is a great read.

Great timing with this post, one of my goals I recently set is to spend more time off of my phone and in the moment.

Agreed! Great reminder! I recently deleted some social media accounts and most of the time can’t even find my phone. Life is good and I’m busy enjoying it!

I feel like you’re talking to me directly. I’m tempted to see what others buy and if I don’t know the stock they are buying I do a quick search to read about it. Very distracting. Maintaining focus is hard. To overcome this issue, I try to schedule limited time on social media.
